Probably for privacy issues and also to prevent harassment. Considering that there are hundreds of thousands of online poker players it just makes it easier to block everybody as oppossed to having to block people individually.

I believe they give you the option because of all the pokertracker info. If im not a good player why do i want somebody following me if they know im not good. Say you play a heads up you lose the guy you just played knows you could be on tilt so he decides to find you. YOu feel me

hi bigdky it is allway a good think to hide youself when you are online and if thay giving you the way to hide it is for your on good so you can play and gambling with any noise from outsideers.
